Nicole Beharie to Co-star with Michael Ealy and Jesse Williams in JACOB'S LADDER Remake; Will Pa
Nicole Beharie and Grey Anatomy’s Jesse Williams are set to star opposite Michael Ealy in the remake of the 1990 thriller Jacob’s Ladder which will be directed David M. Rosenthal. Beharie made her film debut in the film American Violet and also played Jackie Robinson’s wife opposite Chadwick Boseman in the biopic 42, but it was her role in Fox's Sleepy Hollow and the controversial death of her character that has thrown her into the forefront.
David M. Rosenthal, who directed Ealy in last year's "The Perfect Guy," will do the same on this reboot, from a script penned by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp, which will be more of an "action thriller" and will center on two brothers.
Jacob’s Ladder is being done by LD Entertainment from a script by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp. Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jennifer Monroe at LD Entertainment will produce alongside Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films. Will Packer will also produce via his Will Packer Productions banner, and WPP’s James F. Lopez will be executive producer. Ealy will also executive produce.
